Thanks! I followed the instructions from the site using the jabber you suggested and it worked like a charm. One question: will I be able to have video chats with my MSN account?

Unfortunately, jabber transport doesn't support video chat. There is an open source msn client out there, http://www.amsn-project.net/
I haven't used it, so if you give it a try - let me know how it works out.

I've been using aMSN for a couple of weeks and it's similar to the MS MSN. The video chat, however has problems. I installed Mercury and will give it a try.
